Welcome to The Burn 2025 – Workshop on “Designer Quantum Materials”
The workshop on “Designer Quantum Materials” is the annual retreat of the Centre for Designer Quantum Materials of the University of St Andrews. It offers an informal setting to discuss recent results and ideas being developed in the research groups of the centre, from unconventional phases in strongly correlated electron materials, many-body interactions, non-equilibrium physics, via topology to new materials synthesis and bespoke instrumentation. It promotes a free-wheeling exchange of ideas in an atmosphere of open discussions about physics and interpretations, as well as development of new research directions.
The workshop will be held on 10th – 12th of March 2025 and takes place at The Burn estate, in Brechin, Scotland.
